OK. Here's what I want to know.

When I open up Firefox I start typing in the address bar and, depending on how fast I'm typing that day, I get a couple of symbols into the URL and then all of a sudden I find that I'm typing in a Google search for something like 'hreport.com'.

Does the FF3 fix this extremely annoying problem? I'm typing in the address bar because I want to be typing in the address bar ffs.

This is hopeful news because Firefox has become a buggy POS the last 2-3 weeks on the 2 PC's I use regularly.

Holy crap the fonts are big!
At first glance appears to be significantly faster. Have yet to notice the memory hogging.

I like everything about the new firefox except for the theme.

Do people actually like the forward and back buttons being different sizes?

When are they going to fix the scrolling that occurs when scrolling down a image heavy page? A very common example for me is image heavy forum threads that I've read before, I click on them and scroll downwards (or an anchor does that for me), only to be thwarted in my attempts by the images that are loading further up the page! This destroys the function of said anchors and is at least mildly irritating otherwise.

A quick test shows that IE7 also does this :(

Installed it last night and damn it's shaping up to be one great browser ! The new interface on OS X is getting very polished and very mac like. I see no reason for all those Mac purists to bitch that FF is not mac like.

Oh and it's fast too ! :D

I really, really like the performance of these latest versions.

As soon as Foxmarks for FF3 is out of beta, I'm switching over permanently.

Wow. It really is faster. I have an Athlon XP-M 2400+, and there were a few pages that took a long time to render with 3.0b3.

Also, it looks like the URL history search is faster as well. Plus, they fixed an issue I had where if the mouse was hovering over one of the URLs and I hit enter, it'd go to the page that was highlighted instead of the page I typed in.

There was also a rendering issue with some graphics, that I don't seem to be having now. White lines used to go through some graphics when I used the scroll wheel. It wasn't all the time, but most of the time.
