I cannot imagine how the southbrigde could help in overclocking. "We can't reveal exactly how this feature was enabled, as our source asked us not to" sounds a little fishy to me.

If they make a K9A2 Platinum with one.. I'll buy.. I have grew quite attached to mine.

Very nice, very nice! As a 790FX owner I am pretty happy with it's performance for the gaming that I do. But I can say that the Northbridge prolly needed to be actively cooled. Mine, which is passive, only gets to about 120. Bu thats still hot. Thinking of putting a fan on it.

When are boards based on this chipset coming out again?
Let me see if I want to wait a bit longer for my quad core update.
