At what point will a case be able to move based solely on the air the fans are moving because this is getting just stupid.

The CoolerMaster 690 I think is the best deal if you want a "gamer case" cheap too at ~$80.00

I'm only counting four fan locations standard plus two optional locations, which is still insane and pointless, but it's not eight.
I will say I saw the Three Hundred at a MicroCenter the other day and thought it was a nice case. |

I'm interested in media center cases that are not cubes, thanks. MKV's are replacing AVI's thanks.

This is the case Ive been waiting for. Id like an extra fan intake on the side panel on top of the cpu, but, I guess there can be the front intake fan about level with the cpu, via hard drive cage 'duct'.
I was interested in the cooler master stacker 830/1/2 but it didn't have proper accomodation for 6 hard drives. Also costs about 50% more once you buy all the fans for it. Cosmos S 1100 was ... interesting. Lack of dust filters, gimmicky controls, need to buy hard drive cages/fans, and 3 fan spots at the top exhaust seems to be a waste (and why would I want to cool a radiator with heat from the case?). I was also interested in the CM-590 and 690 because they were cheap, and just needed modding. However, I cant be bothered getting dust filters for it. Thermaltake's cases had even worse problems than CM's. Though they look pretty. I'm still wondering if I should go water cooling or not. It would make the case less transportable to LANs. It's also mainly for getting rid of large amounts of heat from a high overclock ... I dont want crazy high power usage ... so I wont need to get rid of the heat. If I think of using it for my next cpu uprade, the cpu block likely wont even fit the different socket type. So, I'm leaning toward air cooling, but scared of the summer where it reaches about 100F here. |

How noisy are these cases? 8 fans? Even on low settings for a 8 fan rig, wouldnt this be a nuisance?
any one have any cases similiar to this? |

I had great hopes for this case (I have a very cramped 900). But sadly, it looks like my 8pin mobo connector isn't gonna reach.

Got an Antec SLK3700AMB a while back (box it came in makes a great trash can for those big 50Gal trash bags at sam's club) and it does well with the 8 drives (used to be 9, had to dump one because of lack of cooling).
But the Front (hd cage)/Rear 120mm, and 3 fan drive bay cooler + Enermax 480W whisper (bottom 120?/Rear 60 or 80mm).
The 3 up top (before drive bay cooler) would get way too hot (73G 10Krpm + 2 SATA). Just needed a little air flow as all 3 are barely warm to the touch.
Something like the 1200, plus a speed control and room for 4 more drives --with cooling, no less-- sways me with the function over form.
Second look reminds me of the G5's case, only black. Needs handles, and the case window is sorta a "meh, whatever" to me.
