I'd like to see how the GMA 4 series stacks up against the Radeon HD IGP series.

Clash of the mini-titans!

Intel also ran into trouble with its new mobile integrated graphics chipsets, which allegedly caused some notebooks to fail.

Here's a novel idea: require the entire chipset to have heatsinking back to the frame somehow. I just spent my lunch hour and then a couple on the phone with HP today, justfying that my 802.11 miniPCI card was dead -- and I know why, too. It's that stupid open-top southbridge nearby, giving the compartment where the RAM and 802.11 live the old E-Z-Bake Oven treatment.

To HP's credit, after I got pinballed around the phone system by a couple mis-transfers, I finally got a technician who wasn't just reading the script -- he actually listened to my description of the problem and then culled out the irrelevant troubleshooting steps.

Hi guis ! whatsgoingoninthisthread ? :D

I'm actually quite disappointed by this delay and i highly doubt that Apple will get any kind of access to these chips/chip sets from Intel earlier then July.

Wait, what am i saying ?! I hope apple will get them early chips :D
I would like a redesigned Mac Book /Pro /Air on June 9th at WWDC. Oh man how nice that would be to see you all eat crow ;)

Problems with Intel's integrated graphics? Really?! I'd almost never believe it. Hopefully this one won't take over a year to get even most of the initial launch promised features.

Seems like a number of things are happening slower for Intel lately.

I'm looking forward to playing with a Puma system. 3 separate voltages for the CPU should allow for some good undervolting.

Well either this will benefit AMD (which from what i've read so far, will probably not) or it will make Intel look even better.

Lets be honest, there has not been any strong indication from AMD that things are heading back to the top. If this Puma thing plans out then its good for everyone, competition wise, but if this fails its just another misstep by AMD.
