Umm...haven't we known this for years? I though it was announced way back when AM2 first came out. :/

maybe this will silence all those: "AMD has a socket problem. it is confusing and they are not compatible." idiots.
It is the price of the integrated mem-controler. and a socket that supports/bridges two sockets is realy nice. I have included this in my personal roadmap by buying a AM2 CPU and a AM2+ MB, later I will get a 45nm Phenom. I think this is great and prooves the critics wrong. |

This is good news from AMD. Their 45nm CPUs will be valuable in that they will make a great upgrade path for all the AM2+ board owners. All you have to do is ditch the mobo and get a new one in 2009 with some DDR3. When SB750 hits I think I will build a cheap AMD system.

Please stop reporting Fudzilla news, he's so full of shit. If I wanted to read bull I would go to his site and read it. He's a sensational news reporter. He doesn't care about trying to be accurate. Don't give him air time, site hits, and advertising money.

I am happy to hear this.. I have had my K9A2 Platinum since it hit the selves and plan on keeping a while longer. At least I can go to a 45nm Phenom and move my 9850 over to another system. I have used this board through 3 chips now.
