I guess it is always good to have options, but if it's already an mATX board why settle for anything less than an Athlon X2 with some 780G love?

Why are atom procs all paired with these crappy 945 chipsets? Does intel just have a ridiculous amount of surplus inventory on these or is there some technical reason why they are doing this?

if you're going to make a microATX board, why wouldn't you give us all the slots? A PCI-e x16 slot for a Radeon 2400 or whatever would cure the issue with the missing DVI port.

Any information about Intel crippling the 64-bit aspect of the Atom, so all systems can only run with 32-bit OSes?

Can't be bothered with Atom whilst they are using the venerable and power consuming 945 chipset. Intel really need to get their head screwed on, provide a decent desktop chipset for Atom that has decent video decode, and low power usage. C'mon, AMD can do it ...

This has been posted before, but for review... http://www.mini-box.com/Intel-D945GCLF-Mini-ITX-Motherboard

I bought one of these... part of a Mame project. Works great. Only problem is that the northbridge uses more juice than the processor.

This seems like an excellent idea.
