It is curious how it comes down to money/shareholders/company future, not a man's actual life, that is the concern here.

And in other news Jobs is going bald, how will that effect Apples performance? Will the lack of hair slowly impact the RDF?

Job's health is absolutely not a private matter in some regards, it comes with the job if he doesn't like it then quit.
what if he became mentally ill and suffered from early dementia, insanity, a stroke that prevented him from performing his duties..... like it or not it becomes private until he leaves the position. even when Job's had Cancer the problem for the health of the company is his focus, so while I wish only the best for Steve Jobs and his family let's all not pretend that were bad ppl for worrying about our investment. it comes with the job and his health is currently not a private matter which is the price for being the head of a publicly traded company...... public not privately owned, end of story regardless of concerns or morality. |

Now why is this story slanted to portray Jobs as the bad guy and NOT the slimy reporter that invented his "facts" in the previous story ?
Jobs's health is his private matter and i agree with keeping that off the record. It's lame journalists like Nocera that scare shareholders/sheep into selling Apple shares for no reason. Adi |

I'd have to agree that in this case his health is important public knowledge for shareholders and the health of the company. It isn't a 'private matter' like who he's seen with at a restaurant or the other garbage we see about celebrities. As an iconic and visionary CEO his health has a direct material impact on the health of Apple so it's important information that should be public, if not in detail at least in general terms but it needs to be truthful as well.

(and arguably irreplaceable)
Everyone is replaceable, everyone. When it comes to business/work anyways, as for him being a human (citation needed) then no, he isn't replaceable in that sense. |

When he dies Apple could sell his carcass to Apple fanboys part by part like the Ferengis do. They could make trillions! Think for what only his manhood would go to a loving, caring fanboy. If the shareholders get wind of this idea he is as good as dead. ;)

No wonder he's sick - he hasn't change his clothes since at least last year. I can only imagine the time between washing his hands.
All kidding aside I don't wish sickness on anyone. |
