I just shudder to think the spyware and DRM and ad-pushing services are pre-installed on those machines, I don't think any current cleaner could clean an EA system fully.

either new to high-end PC gaming, or have been out of the scene for some time

Didn't they already market gaming PCs with Crysis?
To play it you need to buy a quad core cpu, 4 GB of ram, Vista, and SLI/Crossfire.

Wouldn't it be easier to publish games for our PCs instead of replacing our PCs for your games?

Despite the negative (albeit witty) comments thus far, I'm personally glad to see some big company like EA get behind and try to push PC as a gaming platform, even if it is just marketing.
