This just sounds dumb. Between Apple, Microsoft, and the various bit players, this market is saturated.

According to reports, the player is suffering from a fabrication problem, however Dell plans on fix the problem by installing a constantly running fan.
Yes, I am still bitter. |

Why would anyone use a dell or Microsoft Music player after they both abandoned their best efforts previously? Seems like you are asking for history to repeat itself.
Any player tied to software also seems pretty silly. At least itunes and creative have alternative means of getting your music on/off/organised. |

Plugging my favorite MP3 player ever:
http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/cowon/d2/ Touch screen, FLAC support, video playback, expandable w/ SDHC support, 50+ hours audio playback between charges AND... it fits in that little pocket on blue jeans that I've never been able to find a use for! |

I don't think we need another subscription model. I guess that's where their money is though. Just allow for straight AAC+, mp3 and ogg playback with good battery life and it'll sell (and don't sell it for a loss either).
