Why is every game that gets the PhysX treatment regarded as world changing news?
There are many games that will utilize the Havok game engine and you rarely see that as news?
I know some regard PhysX to be a better technology because of the way it can accelerate physics calculations on a GPU/PPU, but that does not make it a superior technology to Havok in my eyes. Especially because Havok has a larger install base and more companies supporting it. (MS, Intel, AMD and many game developers)

If Nvidia REALLY wants PhysX to take off, they'll have to at least offer it to AMD.

I'm glad to see some good being done with it, I'd hate to see such a great idea go to waste.
