The Inquisitr?

$800 Macbooks would be all the rage, but it's probably a price point designed to blow out old stock.

#11 I don't buy Dell or Asus Laptops (although I have looked), but we hear about them constantly. Apple is what, the third largest PC manufactorer in the US I believe ... seems that they should a little screen time on TR when their products are launched as well.

If they push the plastic MBs down to $800, and start the new AL MB at the current $1099, then this could explain all the extra skus. I'd love to pick up an $800 MB. Christmas may be good this year.

For a general tech site TR seems to dwell on rotten fruits way too much lately. I think there should be a limit of no more than three posts about a certain company with overpriced hardware and pathetic marketing per week unless it's something very important (which this obviously isn't).

Most people here are diehard PC guys so they won't run out and buy a new shiny MBP anyway. Those few who care can easily find the same news on Fruit-specific websites and probably well before it actually shows up here. Of course this is purely imho.

Depending on what they offer for $800 I would seriously consider delay buying a plasma/lcd hdtv and buy that. Of course I doubt it will be nearly as fast as my current HP which only cost me about $1100 after upgrades.

If anyone knows how to get OSX working on a PC let me know, cause all I want is their OS. They can keep they're overpriced hardware for all I'm concerned.

800$ could be all that Apple needs to grab an ever bigger piece of the pie from the Notebook market. Only a few more days to find out :)

That stuff don't look so space age... I get it now, let's just reword normal things into exciting things. Instead of keyboard, lets call it tactile data programming interface, but that's too nerdy so let's call it touch based computer interplay. Instead of monitor, let's call it idea sharing portal. Instead of mouse, sleek touch-based apps interaction. We'll make millions!
