This is only to catch the idiots who are desperate to be first with their nehelems. Once the actual release date comes along and every site has them prices will be much nearer to intels pricelist. Once the inital surge has passed like with any high end product we can expect the price war to get into full swing.

$119 Q6600 (65nm, 8MB L2, 2.4Ghz) $129 Q8200 (45nm, 4MB L2, 2.33Ghz) $159 Q9300 (45nm, 6MB L2, 2.5Ghz) $199 Q9450 (45nm, 12MB L2, 2.66Ghz) Now that looks better than those i7 prices. I already nabbed a Q9400 for $180 2 months ago. |

Honestly, nothing makes me feel better about not having something than to see that thing priced unreasonably. So this is not bad news IMHO.
