Gaming systems need to stop looking like computers on steroids. I would like to see a gaming system that is totally self-contained and compact, including peripherals. Ditch the industrial look. A gaming system for the living room.

The Futurelooks article fails for putting the worst addition to NXE (the retarded avatars, I swear the marketing departments in the gaming industry are staffed by morons who can't find anything better to do than copy Nintendo but somehow "more eXtreme") as the first thing to love about it.

Honestly I wonder if NXE wasn't solely an attempt to get more DLC profit. Have this mandatory update that makes you feel retarded if you bought a theme off of the marketplace in the past while. Oh, and enjoy these NEW STYLE themes for about 3x the price as the old ones along with crap you can buy for your avatar (hope you didn't waste any MS points on a gamerpicture lol) which pushes us that much closer to the GaiaOnline business model.

Actually they missed about the only truly useful thing about it. The ability to finally use the stupidly large hard drives on the Elite and newer Pro models to cache game data on (finally something other than video rentals)

wow! those black friday deals are liquid nitrogen cold. retailers trying to just get rid of their old junk. i guess circuit city will never change. no surprise, as they filed chapter 11. they should have taken the blockbuster deal. now they are worthless. digital trends should have listed them as the last 10 things you would never want. but thats pretty much what black fridays are about these days. The BD player looks ok, but they should have offered a better brand at that price.

The Samsung NC10 sounds like ther perfect netbook to me. Plus, accoring to one of the commenters, once Ubuntu 9.04 comes out, the Wi Fi and sound will work perfectly out of the box.
