OK, OK, I get that MS wants to hurry up Win7 to help erase the "blight" that is Vista...but if they're too quick, they're essentially showing their hand that underneath it all that Win7 is a lightened up version of Vista.
Honestly, I had problems for a while trying to install SP3 on my wife's computer, had to shut off all anti-virus and use a script (I hope I am using that term correctly) from MS' site to reset the registry...that finally did it. Then my son's XP box did a crash-rinse-repeat and I had to figure out why it was crashing upon trying to load drivers upon boot. So, Win7 being a lot like Vista...is that really bad? I don't really think so. XP, at least in my house, is far, far from perfect. Vista really does seem better WRT stability. Sorry, had more problems in the last 6 months with XP than Vista...rant off. |

Step1. Install Firefox.
Step2. See Step 1.
You will need likely need Administrator privileges to make the IE changes so it is just easier to install FF. Also it looks like they are just turning off much of the bloat/crap MS added to IE since IE6. Besides, IE does not support awesome plugins like ABP, NoScript, etc...
