Google is an advertising company. That is how they make money. They are only going to put Android on computers if they can make money. Android based netbooks will be advertising platforms.

Pretty cool, the question to me is why? I run a full linux installation on my netbook with no problems, its hard to see why one would scale down so much on a platform that quite capable of running a fully featured OS.
To me this is akin to running the iPhone OS on a Macbook instead of OS X.... why? |

Android probably uses less resources, and since it's less complicated an OS, it's probably much easier to use than a full OS.

It looks way cool on the Eee. If they come up with a functioning port for my NC10 I'd be tempted to give it a go..
