Something like this will probably be my first notebook. Yeah I haven't ever owned one. Just waiting for the right combination of reasonable speed and capabilities, powerdraw/battery life, and screen size:overall size.

Now please somebody [preferably Samsung or Lenovo :) ] go ahead and use this dot-pitch panel (same as the 8.9" 1024x600) to create a 10.x" version with 1280x720 or 1280x768 resolution. Thank you.

Is it just me or does it look like they borked the R-Shift key?
Otherwise for <=$500 it looks like it has potential as an inexpensive ultraportable - tis a little large to be called netbook imo but of course you get a direct tradeoff with screensize and it's nice to have options. |

I have two questions. Can it play h264 at 1080, and how long does the battery last.

although the 1.3GHz Nano does have a larger thermal envelope than Intel's 1.6GHz Atom N270
Via Nano U2350 + VX800 = 8W + 5W = 13W Atom N270 + Intel 945GSE + ICH7-M = 2.5W + 6W + 3.3W = 11.8W So it's really comparable. |

I'd get one of these. If it had enough horsepower to play 1080p video over the HDMI output it should have. And if it was prettier, ie made by samsung :)

Dr. Mobile?
It is a Nano Netbook. Trust me, I'm a Doctor. The humor is strong in this one. |
