Form factor's nice, but as a DIY-er, I'd never buy a big-brand gaming system.

Is this another case of crazy nvidia renaming? The specifications of the 9800S looks like that of a 9600GT.

I am not as excited about this PC, as the fact that that they are using MXM graphics card. If the standard finally starts getting used it means more upgradeable laptops and small form factor PC.

I would buy this for the following reasons - it looks sexy, nice power for it's form factor.
I wouln't buy this for the following reasons - low upgradeability, expensive cost of replacement parts. The big manafactureres like HP only ever aim for the entry gaming market. Experienced gamers know that in 12 months time those dual 9800Ss will be holding you back your warranty will be gone and replacement parts are gonna cost you big. Overall I like the PC, I'd recommend to the rich non-gamer though. |

If most pre-built gaming PCs are little more than collections of off-the-shelf desktop parts
Fixed that for you. |

Good to see HP making something out of the Voodoo purchase even if it's just a marketing brand. The design is pretty cool although I'm not a fan of case windows, at least it shows some PC makers can create decent industrial designs and not just Apple.
Rereading the dimensions I realize it's actually not much of a 'small' form factor :/ It's basically mid-tower sized, not nearly as cool as I first thought. The mobile parts seem like a waste given the actual size...the only reason for them is cooler running and lower power draw. |
