So..., when are we going to see news articles on encoders that support both nvidia and ati?
Instead of news articles about every new obscure startup that only uses CUDA?

I don't mind the nvidia news as much as not seeing neutral news, and there is brand neutral news.
We just haven't been seeing any of it.

Considering CUDA is 2 years old now and OpenCL hasn't even been officially released it's a bit obvious why there are only CUDA apps out there so far. The funny thing is that experience with CUDA is going to help a lot with picking up OpenCL but that little bit of common sense escapes a lot of ppl.

How does that infinite zooming work once you get down to a single pixel taking up the whole screen, or the entire view gets smaller than a pixel? According to Loli, they can zoom in/out some more.

That's impressive.

Haha, at first I thought the company name was Loliscope. 'Silly Japanese, always with the loli' and then I looked again.

and the video clearly reflects that with an abundance of bright colors and peppy music You forgot to add 'mutated pikachu-like mascot.' They also should have come up with something other than 'butt.wmv' for a video of a butterfly.

Does it work on AMD GPUs? The video might say CUDA but it could be a pure DX/OGL implementation.

All these GPU applications would be much more popular and much less dependent on proprietary APIs like CUDA if more devs would adapt OpenCL as a GPU programing language. It would help as well if MS would officially back OpenCL but we all know that's not likely to happen.
