What is "45nm SOI DSL process"? DSL to me, has a meaning outside of chip fabrication.
Is GlobalFoundries the only firm offering 45nm SOI ?
"$4.5 billion investment" sounds like pennys these days.
"new transistor structure called multi-gate FinFET"; can't be new, if I learnd about it at university and I think it is long overdue.

Man I would have totally hung out with you on your visit, you were like 30 minutes away from me :( . Although I doubt hanging out with a 19 year old is very interesting. And I totally am planning roadtrips to the new AMD fabsite every so often to watch the sweet fab being built. I have no life.

On a more serious note, I will say that NY is absolutely thrilled to have this fab being built. Especially in the Upstate region, which is nearly devoid of civilization at times.
