So WHY am I buying products if it's supported through ad-revenue?

At work, we use software from Nuance, which actually makes decent products. However, included in the software is an Installshield Update Manager that is supposed to look for updates to products under the Installshield branding. What Nuance has done, however, is to advertise other Nuance products within this "feature." Quite iffy. Easily disabled, but I really question the legitimacy of companies that have to resort to this type of trickery to continue sales. It actually pushes me to look actively at competitors. (I will never use a Belkin or Sony product again due to past ethics breaches.)

Lenovo's marketing is full of c**p. They will completely destroy the Thinkpad brand in a few more years. The build quality, durability, and design of Thinkpads is going downhill fast. meanwhile the Lenovo marketing team is all over the web touting the wonderful "improvements" Lenovo is making. I used to love Thinkpads. Now, not so much.

I have a Lenovo laptop and the last thing I'll ever do is use some bundled POS updater. The first thing was installing Win 7 RC.

Lenovo Project Manager Mark Hopkins replied in the thread, saying the issue "doesn't seem to be occurring for all customers

Maybe it only happens to people running more than 20 system tray tasks.

... As opposed to fire-bombing Lenovo's marketing department, which would be a "surgical strike."

LOL!
