How come netbooks seem to be getting away with so little RAM? Nowadays I wouldn't build a desktop with less than 4 gigs of RAM, yet netbooks routinely come with 2 or even 1!

Too expensive, and too weak. Would have been better to stick a Core Solo ULV in there, it would have been a better match.
The Ion is overkill for the Atom, and at this price, better off with a more powerful and featured ultra portable. |

I bought a 15.4" HP notebook with 4GB of ram, 2.13ghz 45nm Core 2 Duo & a 9600M GT for 699.99 a few months ago.
This offering is worthless. |

I think this is the most interesting entry in the "tiny, cheap, slow laptop" category so far. It combines an OK screen res with reasonable graphics and... a processor and some RAM.
I hope that the RAM can be upgraded to something respectable. $600 is too much, IMO. |

Slap a proper CPU in there like a Core2, up the RAM to 2GB, and include a free Win7 license with the XP default install.
That would justify the cost, and they might even be able to charge more, and still sell. |

Mix the NC20 and this new system together for me, please!
edit: That will either result in an Atom w/ VIA graphics, or a Nano with Nvidia graphics. For clarity, I want the LATTER. :) |

Samsung's product would be pretty nice if they could get it to the $500 price point, but that's what it would take to be interesting to me. Oh, and 2GB of RAM standard.
