I ran a BBS called the Graffiti Board, Ronald. It ran on Express BBS on an Atari 130XE. Almost everything fit into the server's RAMdisk, since I had 128K of RAM. (Or was it more? Maybe I'd expanded it to 320K or so.) We had discussion boards, a big rant from me up front, and some "Cursor Antix" Atari 8-bit graphics cartoons/thingies. (You had to be there to understand.) And if you hung around long enough, the SysOp would break in to chat with you. :)

Averaged 30 calls a day! If only the web existed back then, I'd have sold out for jillions of worthless stock options by now.

We are in the process of moving the site, as i type this, to another location.

I hope that TR does not go away anytime soon. I kind of like being Dr. Damage\'s, Dog Soldier. ;)

Yeah, but was that a 300bps half or full duplex? I remember when you'd get a choice between 150 full and 300 half. :( Way back BBS days. Hell, my dad and I were plankowners on Rusty-N-Edie's. :)

If UGO drops us, we lose our Gary Coleman connection. :(

But yeah, I ran a BBS outta my bedroom when I was 14 (300bps baby!). So you could say I've been doing this forever. TR is just a much, much cooler version of the same thing.

Does this mean that I might be able to get a mug shot in with Dr. Damage and Gary Coleman at the next tech expo? :p
