think the point of the car was to show how small an inexpensive desktop computer could be. funniest thing bout this thread is, the folks at pheaton are usually the coolest, with great ideas and knowledge, and very, very helpful. pheaton forums are my personal favorites. dunno why this turned into a pissing contest.

There's a lot of things about Mac's that are very nice, Apple just need to give Motorola a big kick, either into making G5's pronto OR kick them out and start using full blown IBM POWER4 processors in the big PowerMacs (or would that be POWERMacs), I know I'd buy a Mac with one of those damn things in it :)

I for one applaud BlueSmurf for the effort. Original (as fas as the creator is concerned, since he made the original GTRPC) and good looking (even if I don't like the car irl).

yeah, like painting a skull and crossbones on the side of a tower case is SO innovative...

If you want to do art, buy some canvas, if you want to modify your pc, go ahead, but don't go drawing crap on the side of a tower case and claiming that it's artwork.

Exceptions will of course be made on a case by case basis, I've seen a couple of examples of VERY impressive artwork that was painted onto the side of a tower case, stuff that could hang proudly in an art gallery even. This doesn't however mean that cutting a blowhole and having a VTEC sticker scrolling LED display that shows off the clockspeed and specs of the machine is art.

Being someone who scale model races RC cars, I can appreciate the amount of work to make something like this. As for the toilet joke, actually, think of it. It would be funny as hell. Design would work great too...cdrom under the seat, mobo and drives in the "tank" on the back of it. But, it would HAVE to run Windows ME. So, there, it was a semi-serious comment (not the mac ones), and no malice meant towards this guy and his work...
