I have a Shuttle mini-PC on the counter of my kitchen running Linux. I love it, but it does make a lot of noise for being above a counter or desk. I used one of the older AMD shuttle systems because I thought it might not make so much noise. I haven't heard too much about MSI's or Abit's noise levels. With an 865 mobo, doesn't it make a hell of a racket?

Looks promising, and far more practical (i.e less dusting) than the MSI box. The dual optical drives means it would also be useful for gamers that need a non-CDRW drive for their game CD's.

I keep seeing SFF boxes coming out with LCD displays. I want to see one with a programmable one, ala Matrix Orbital/CrystalFontz. They do that I'll be right there with my Visa card. I hate fixed-finction things on a PC like that.

Does it have a DVI port? That and ATI's IDCT support would make for a killer HTPC box.

Why does the front scream CHEAP PLASTIC?

It looks like the crappy plastic from those cheap alarm clock/calculator boxes.

if lookslike a cheap walmart boombox..........not a stereo component.

why not just buy a MicroATX and build it was a "quiet PC"...........and set the thing into your existing stereo set?

MicroATX boxes look alot like ones existing VCR, Tape Deck, Reciever, CD-player.

I guess I just don't see the value of this thing.....................

If Abit can get the fit and finsh cleaned up on final-rev systems, this may well be the box to have for building a home-theater PC.

If the price is right :)

Looks nice but, I except that SFF PC wouldn't be cheap to use for just a home enterment system. Prehaps it could be better utillized for folding farms. :)
