Bluetooth was a doomed tech from the beginning. I wonder how they will address the security concerns of wireless in this new spec. After all, it's still not bulletproof in 802.11x, a seemingly mature wireless spec at this point.

Is this a re-post? I'd have sworn I saw this on TR before.

Finally.
As much as I hate to see Intel creating another nonstandard system, someone had to do it. Yeah for them. Yeah for me. Sure, I will hate replacing my Bluetooth phones, printer, headset, and dongle... but money is no object when the devices WORK! The only positive thing that I can say about Bluetooth is that when it works, geeks think you look cool. Other then that, Bluetooth has involved fighting for days to get my Sony phones to sync with the PC, getting my headset to consistently connect to either the computer or the phones, and constantly recharging devices just so I can leave them "discoverable." So long Ericsson! |

Well if no can figure out how to deliver power to wireless devices. The next best thing is having a rechargible docking stations like the Logitech MX700 and MX900
