Interesting, but meh.

I'll wait for reviews. I haven't felt a need for this type of device yet in my life.

Someday, there will be a useful device that combines all the good points of various devices now - such as the iPod, a good mobile phone, good PDA software, good computer software, touchscreen, good digital camera, ... this could be the first step to such a device.

Of course, other manufacturers will attack the problem from other angles.

As a solitary example amongst dozens that we could think of: Will this device get 20 hours playback of music files from battery? Will it get 10? If not, it's useless compared to a stand-alone music player.

What's best for the desktop is probably not what's best for the palmtop. It took Microsoft a long time to realise that with Windows CE. Still, they've got a big name, people will just deal with the limitations until someone releases a device that overhauls the entire device, sort of like how the iPod overhauled the clunky poor UI MP3 player market oh so long ago.

Flying Fox:
8"x4" is about the size of a hard-cover novel. The pictures I have seen kind of pointing to a larger size compared to the hand in the picture. But if they can really get to 8x4 then it's like carrying a book around. There may be some use of that yet

If the price is right, yeah, it will be usefull.
