Who else thinks this will be nothing more than a pile of crap?

Going from mice to rebadging soundcards under your own name? I'll stick with AC-97 :/

Funny, all this time I always thought the Audigy 1 - gamer would have been the first sound card for gamers. If that doesn't count, then I suppose the new X-FI Fati1ity (or however you spell that stupid name) would be. Either way, Creative has Razor beat for the first "Gamers sound card"

117 dB SNR? I think dynamic range would be a better measurement. didn't old creative cards have great SNR (due to a muting circuit) but mediocre dynamic range? also isn't the dynamic range of 16bit sound 96dB? I don't think SNR could exceed that dynamic range at 16bit... and as far as I'm aware of no games use 24bit audio.
I assume by 720 they mean horiztonal+vertical
heck even some of the pro audio cards have trouble reaching 117 dB dynamic range....

"processes and optimizes audio signals from games to provide the ultimate positional gaming audio experience"

yeah, if the game api supports it. if not, enjoy your expensive sound card listening to music. Thats what EAX is for. Aureals api was good, but creative bought them out. razer, are you next?

I like the little EMI shield thingy, my Audigy seems very sensitive to interference.

Other than that it's just a bunch of marketing BS.

Not sure I'm ready for that =)

Seriously, best of luck to them. The more the merrier.
