Corsair's EPP-enabled RAM now available

— 1:44 PM on May 22, 2006

Corsair has announced the "broad availability" (PDF) of its SLI-Ready TWIN2X2048 memory kits, which offer Enhanced Performance Profile (EPP) support. The TWIN2X2048-6400C4 kit is rated for operation at 800 MHz with 4-4-4-12 timings, while the TWIN2X2048-8500C5 is rated for a cool 1066 MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings. Both are rated for a voltage of 2.2 V and will support EPP in conjunction with NVIDIA's upcoming nForce 590 SLI chipset for Socket AM2.

Corsair says the new kits are available through the retail channel today. We had a hard time finding any listed for sale, but it looks like ZipZoomFly is already stocking TWIN2X2048-6400C4 kits for $269 a pop. These kits are shipping just in time for the expected Socket AM2 launch tomorrow.
