MSI to offer home theater barebones for Athlon 64

TAIPEI, TAIWAN — MSI has a number of interesting barebones systems on display at its Computex booth, including several traditional cube small form factor designs. What's more interesting, however, is a home theater PC barebones unit built around a slim form factor that should fit right into a home entertainment center.

Under the hood, the system features an NVIDIA GeForce 6150/nForce 430 chipset combo and AM2 socket. The motherboard has two DDR2 DIMM slots, 7.1-channel High Definition Audio, Gigabit Ethernet, and plenty of audio input and output options. Component, VGA, and HDMI video outputs are all included in addition to analog and digital audio outputs. The board's analog audio outputs even use RCA jacks to make it easier to interface with home theater equipment.
