Another Microsoft big shot bites the dust

— 12:06 PM on June 21, 2006

Less than a week after Bill Gates announced his progressive departure from Microsoft, another high-ranking official has thrown in the towel. 13-year Microsoft veteran Martin Taylor isn't leaving to concentrate on charitable efforts at the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, but he is departing just a few months after being appointed corporate VP for Microsoft's Windows Live and MSN marketing arm. His exit also comes simultaneously with the official release of Windows Live Messenger, which marks the introduction of Microsoft's new Windows Live product line.
