Poll: Are you still hanging on to AGP?

— 4:04 PM on July 20, 2006

With the release of NVIDIA's GeForce 7600 GS for AGP, it's clear that AGP is still alive in the market today. In fact, numbers collected by DigiTimes say AGP-only 865-series chipsets currently make up 10% of Intel's core logic shipments, so a fair share of new systems are still being built around AGP hardware. But how much of the enthusiast community is still using AGP? Are you still hanging on to an AGP graphics card, or have you made the jump to PCI Express system? Go vote and let us know!

Last week's poll also centered on upgrades as we asked whether you will upgrade to a Core 2 Duo processor in the next 6-12 months. Voters seem split on the issue, with 36% planning to cough up the cash for a Core 2 system and another 36% teetering on the edge, waiting for AMD's response. The remaining 28% are simply not planning to upgrade to a Core 2 system.
