BXBoards.com shines in its twilight

— 11:17 AM on November 19, 1999

In the waning days of the BX chipset, in a last-ditch effort to salvage his domain name, Dandy Andy over at BXBoards has attempted to make a new "Coppermine" Pentium III work on an Intel BX chipset-based motherboard. However, he ran into some snags:

While the chip still uses 370 pins, it appears that the architecture and pin-outs are sufficiently different that current Socket370-Slot1 convertors do not work with the Socketed version of the Pentium III E.
Nevertheless, it's a good read. Andy's dilemma, however, remains. Watch this space for updates on the BXBoards.com drama as it unfolds.
