Study's mixed results linking aggression, violent games

— 8:38 PM on August 7, 2000

Reuters is reporting on a new study conducted at the American Psychological Association that concludes playing violent video games for 15 minutes or less does not make children more aggressive. However, the psychologists found that long-term exposure to violent games causes children to "prefer aggressive solutions." Interesting reading, especially considering it was released on the same day that Al Gore named Senator Joseph Lieberman to be his running mate. Senator Lieberman is well known for his opposition to violent video games and other forms of media violence.
