NVIDIA boasts record fiscal quarter
NVIDIA has reported
its revenue for the second fiscal quarter of 2007, and it's a doozy.
The green team generated a record $687.5 million between May and July,
19.6% more than the $574.8 million it produced over the same
period last year. Between February and July, NVIDIA raked in a total of
$1.37 billion, a slightly more modest 18% jump over the previous year.
NVIDIA doesn't say how much of that revenue translated to profit, though.
These gains go hand-in-hand with a report from Jon Peddie Research that says
NVIDIA's market share of the discrete notebook graphics processor market
rose almost 47% between April and June. The company did lose some share
to ATI on the desktop, but that only amounted to a 1.5% drop.
