VR-Zone has gotten its hands on one of ATI's upcoming Radeon X1950 XTX graphics cards. The card's performance is impressive, and its 1GHz GDDR4 memory seems to give it a sizeable performance advantage over the Radeon X1900 XTX. In VR-Zone's game benchmarks, the Radeon X1950 XTX is on average about 20% faster than its predecessor, despite running at the same core clock speed and featuring the same number of pixel shader processors.
VR-Zone also compares the Radeon X1950 XTX to NVIDIA's dual-GPU GeForce 7950 GX2, which it manages to outperform. However, VR-Zone's numbers for the NVIDIA card seem rather low compared to what we saw when the GX2 was released in June.
