Sierra releases free F.E.A.R. Combat
As it promised last week, Sierra has
delivered a free version of the multiplayer component of Monolith's
first-person action/horror shooter, F.E.A.R. The standalone multiplayer
game is known as F.E.A.R. Combat and can be obtained from joinfear.com. Before getting
their game on, users first need to sign up with their
name, address, and e-mail in order to get a free license key. The game
can then be downloaded here or through
various third-party mirrors, including FileShack.
F.E.A.R. Combat includes 10 multiplayer game modes, 19 maps, 12 weapons,
support for user-generated contents, and built-in PunkBuster
anti-cheating software. Owners of the full retail game can play with
users running F.E.A.R. Combat, and vice-versa, as well.
