ATI to discontinue All-in-Wonder graphics cards?

— 10:28 AM on August 30, 2006

Word got out yesterday that ATI had pulled its new TV Wonder 650 tuner cards from store shelves because of channel reception problems, but the red team may have more serious hedge trimming scheduled in the multimedia arena. DailyTech now hears that ATI intends to ditch its All-in-Wonder multimedia graphics cards for good. Word comes from sources at ATI distributors, who told the site that ATI will have stopped production of its complete All-in-Wonder lineup by the end of this month. With All-in-Wonder cards gone, the red team will reportedly shift focus in the multimedia sector to its standalone TV tuner cards, which include the recently expanded TV Wonder lineup.
