Modder turns Xbox 360 into laptop

We don't usually cover mods here at TR, but this particular specimen caught our eye. Long-time modder Benjamin Heckendorn has taken an Xbox 360 apart and turned it into a fully-functional (albeit battery-free) laptop, complete with a keyboard, 1280x720 wide-screen LCD display, and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. The unit's base is considerably thinner than that of the Xbox 360; to achieve this feat, Heckendorn replaced the Xbox 360's bulky heatsinks with a customized water cooling system and built a completely custom chassis out of aluminum. The Xbox 360's power supply brick was also "expanded" to accommodate power draw from the display. Altogether, the Xbox 360 laptop weighs 14lbs and measures 16.75" x 10.75" x 2.8". Ben has more photos of the finished product here and a walk through the modding process here. Thanks to Engadget for the link.
