Zune unveiling scheduled for tomorrow
Microsoft has acknowledged the existence of its upcoming Zune music player, but the company has yet to reveal more than a handful of details about the device. Documents posted on the FCC's website last month contained some pictures and specs (including mention of a 30GB hard drive, 3.0" LCD display, and built-in 802.11g Wi-Fi support) as well as instructions for a wireless content-sharing feature, but those are about the most concrete details available right now. According to a report by the Seattle Weekly, though, Microsoft plans to unveil the device officially tomorrow. The report echoes previous reports that the Zune will become available in time for the holiday season, adding that Microsoft intends to put an emphasis on music by preloading the device with 25 tracks and videos from lesser-known bands. Thanks to Engadget for the tip.
