Mobility Radeon X1900 spotted in Fujitsu notebook

— 10:22 AM on November 21, 2006

ATI recently launched three new mid-range Radeon Mobility graphics processors to counter Nvidia's recent success in the mobile market, and now the new divison of AMD appears to have come up with another high-end offering, as well. The folks over at X-bit labs have spotted a Fujitsu-Siemens notebook that includes (PDF) a Mobility Radeon X1900 with 256MB of GDDR3 memory and HDCP support in its feature list.

Currently, the fastest Mobility Radeon graphics processor listed on ATI's site is the Mobility Radeon X1800 XT, which is based on the ATI R520 graphics processor. Since that mobile product sports the same 16 pixel shader processors as its desktop counterpart, an R580-based Mobility Radeon X1900 should feature 48 pixel shader processors just like the desktop Radeon X1900 XT and XTX cards. Fujitsu-Siemens doesn't list any real specs for the graphics module beyond its memory size, though.
