Sapphire shows dual-GPU Radeon X1950 Pro

— 3:57 PM on January 8, 2007

Multi-GPU graphics cards have become a staple of trade shows, and CES 2007 is no exception. Hexus has the goods on a dual-GPU Radeon X1950 Pro being shown off in Sapphire's suite, and the card's a monster. Rather than mashing a couple of X1950 Pro reference designs together, Sapphire engineered its dual-chip card from the ground up, and they've equipped it with a gig of memory for good measure. Sapphire's apparently serious about bringing the behemoth to market in February, too, although it may not be cheap. Hexus reports that the card will cost around £250, which is roughly the same price as a GeForce 8800 GTS.
