GeForce 8600 graphics cards pictured

The folks over at OC Workbench have come upon pictures of Nvidia's upcoming mainstream G80 derivatives. The cards in question are the GeForce 8600 GTS and GeForce 8600 GT models, which we've been hearing rather detailed rumors about lately. Nvidia inadvertently revealed the cards' existence in a driver update last week, and now OC Workbench has posted some rather authentic-looking pictures of the two cards. The GeForce 8600 GTS is shown here, while the GeForce 8600 GT is up over here.

According to the same site, the cards will launch on April 17. The GeForce 8600 GTS will cost $200-250 and will run at a core clock of 675MHz with 256MB or 512MB of GDDR3 memory running at 1GHz. As for the 8600 GT, OC Workbench says that card will run at 540MHz with 128MB or 256MB of 700MHz GDDR3 memory. Pricing for the 8600 GT will reportedly be between $150 and $180. (Thanks to The Inquirer for the tip.)
