RV630, RV610 graphics cards spotted at CeBIT
Earlier this month, we learned that, because of the delay surrounding AMD's upcoming R600 graphics processor, demonstrations of the card and its derivatives at CeBIT would be kept behind closed doors. However, that hasn't stopped the folks at German site PC Games Hardware from finding RV630 and RV610 graphics cards at the show and taking a good dozen pictures of them. One of the cards seems to feature a rather beefy, dual-slot cooler reminiscent of the one on AMD's existing Radeon X1950 XTX graphics card. Nonetheless, PC Games Hardware claims that the card is part of the RV630 lineup and not a more high-class R600 derivative. The folks at VR-Zone echo the German site on that point, saying the card with the dual-slot cooler is an RV630 "XT" model that has a 128-bit memory bus and supports up to 512MB of GDDR4 memory. The RV630 "XT" will supposedly be able to outperform the old Radeon X1900 XTX.
