Call of Duty 4 trailer released

Infinity Ward and Activision have released a trailer for the next game in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty 4. Whereas its predecessors exploit the World War Two theme, this new opus is set in modern times—hence its tagline, "Modern Warfare." The folks at FileShack are hosting the trailer here. It's a 68MB download that shows roughly a minute of tightly-edited footage from the game, where it appears the action is set in the Middle East as well as possibly Russia, Chechnya, or somewhere in Eastern Europe.

An Infinity Ward community manager has told Planet CallofDuty that footage from the trailer is "taken directly from the [single player] campaign" and that "all the action is actual in-game action." The community manager adds that the game will come out for the PC in the fall of this year.
