HIS leaks Radeon HD 2900 XT specs
One of AMD's board partners, HIS, has inadvertently leaked pictures and specifications for its upcoming Radeon HD 2900 XT graphics card based on the AMD R600 graphics processor. The board maker mistakenly put up a page advertising the card and quickly pulled it down, but not before Google had a chance to load it in its cache, and the folks at techPowerUp! were able to take a few screenshots. According HIS's main product page and specifications page, the Radeon HD 2900 XT has an 80nm graphics processor, 320 stream processors, 512MB of GDDR3 memory, a 512-bit eight-channel memory interface, support for 24x "custom filter anti-aliasing," and built-in HDMI with 5.1 surround sound.
The picture nabbed by techPowerUp! shows two DVI ports on the side of the card, but HIS's "cable/adaptor bundled" section mentions a "DVI to HDMI dongle," so users can presumably turn one of the card's DVI ports into an HDMI output to hook up to their TV. Interestingly, the "software bundled" list also mentions a "Valve Black Box Game Coupon." The Black Box sounds like one of the Half-Life 2: Episode Two bundles planned by Valve, which is set to include Episode Two plus Team Fortress 2 and Portal when it comes out this fall.
