TR Forum Tidings: Core 2 Duo cooling

— 2:41 AM on May 16, 2007

For this week's tidings post, we've picked out a cooling-related thread from our Overclocking, Tweaking, & Cooling forum. The thread was posted by gerbil veteran Coran Fixx, and it's a simple poll that seeks to determine the type of apparatus folks are using to keep their Intel Core 2 Duo processors cool. According to the poll, 74% of voters use after-market cooling, and as such the thread is full of users bragging about the shiny heatsinks and fans they've managed to strap onto their CPUs. Contributors seem to have all kinds of cooling solutions, from the gigantic Scythe Ninja and the slightly less gigantic Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro to the more traditional Kingwin KA-9228.

What about you? Do you have a Core 2 Duo, and if so, have you paired it with an exotic cooler? If you have something worth bragging about (or even if you don't), feel free to head over to Coran Fixx's thread and contribute. As always, you'll want to register first if you don't already have a forum account.
