Halo 2 PC delayed once again
Originally scheduled to come out on May 8, the Windows Vista version of Halo 2 saw its release date pushed back two weeks earlier this month. Well, the game's official release date has rolled around for the second time, and there's still no Halo 2 in sight for PC users. According to a press release published by GamesIndustry.biz, it turns out that the game has been postponed another two weeks. It's now scheduled to come out on June 8, a month later than initially planned.
Microsoft cited the need to "make some improvements to the install experience and address other technical issues" as the cause for the first delay, but the company's press release contains no details regarding the reason for this second postponement. The game's installation process is a little out of the ordinary: it features a system dubbed "Tray and Play" that allows users to play start playing the game while it installs, within just a couple of minutes of slipping the game disc into their PC.
