Crysis slated for mid-September

— 6:00 AM on July 12, 2007

Last year, Electronic Arts officially postponed the release of Crytek's upcoming first-person shooter Crysis to its 2008 fiscal year. EA's 2008 fiscal year started on April 1, 2007, but that's about as clear a time frame for the title's launch as the publisher revealed at the time. Well, according to Blue's News, an updated EA press fact sheet about Crysis has finally revealed a specific release date for the title. The fact sheet reportedly says Crysis will hit stores on September 14, although with no official announcement, Blue's News advises readers to take the date with a grain of salt. The folks at GamersHell also quote a September 14 release date, but for the United Kingdom—according to them, the North American release of the title is slated for September 11. Release dates aside, GamersHell also has a new set of screenshots up that show off in-game action.
