Poll: How much hard drive capacity do you use?

— 2:36 PM on July 12, 2007

Today's comes courtesy of TR reader Cliff, who suggested that make our weekly poll about your used storage capacity. He already put up a similar poll in our forums yesterday, but we think we'll get a broader range of results on the front page. So, without further ado: just how much of your overall hard drive space do you use? With 500GB hard drives now available for less than $100, it isn't hard to imagine some folks having more space than they know what to do with. Of course, the Internet is abound with voluminous content of all kinds—both legal and illegal—so some of your hard drives may be buckling under the weight. Feel free to let us know where you stand by heading over to our poll and casting your vote.

Last week's poll was about our new system guide; we asked which of our four system builds you'd be the likeliest to purchase. Interestingly, most of those who voted would likely purchase the $1,363 Sweet Spot—that option got 53% of the vote. Second most popular was the $1,062 Grand Experiment with 23% of the vote, followed by the $538 Econobox with 16%, and the $3145 Double-Stuff Workstation, which received just 8% of votes cast.
