Cooler Master bumps power supply warranties

— 2:30 PM on July 31, 2007

A trend that's not nearly common enough in the power supply market is that of manufacturers offering five-year warranty lengths. It's still not uncommon to see PSUs costing well above $150 and yet only covered by a three-year warranty. However, the folks at Cooler Master have let us know that they've taken a step in the right direction and bumped the warranty of their Real Power Pro and Real Power M power supplies from three to five years.

Both PSU lineups are "engineered for high efficiency, quiet operation, and stable power output," according to the company. The Real Power Pro line includes 650W, 750W, 850W, and 1000W models that are all rated for efficiency above 80%, certified for Nvidia SLI multi-GPU configurations, and cooled by lone 135mm fans. As for the Real Power M models, they come with 620W, 700W, 850W, and 1000W power ratings, offer the same aforementioned perks as their "Pro" counterparts, and also have modular cabling.
